Firvale Wilderness Camp

Adventure Awaits

Getting Here

By plane, car or ferry - Getting to Firvale is a scenic adventure of its own.

The scenic drive to Firvale takes you across the Chilcotin Plateau before descending the notorious "Hill" into the Bella Coola Valley. Head west from Williams Lake on Hwy 20, be aware there is a 80km stretch of dirt road that is well maintained and 4x4 is NOT necessary. You can check current road conditions on the Drive BC website. Another favourite is the Discovery Coast Loop, combining the ferry route and drive to create an epic road trip through British Columbia. See links below for additional information.

BC Ferries’ direct service from Port Hardy to Bella Coola begins late June & extends into September. From the time you leave Port Hardy, on the northern tip of Vancouver Island, you are cruising through unsurpassed spectacular scenery. This crossing to the mid-coast ranks among the world´s most scenic. Cruising the Queen Charlotte Strait – watch for sea lions on small islands and stay alert for whales and dolphins – following the stunning coastline of granite cliffs, misty green forests, and deep fjords.

Departing from Vancouver's (YVR) South Terminal, Pacific Coastal Airlines provide direct flights to Bella Coola. The hour long scenic flight over BC's coastal mountain range and Monarch Icefield is sure to impress. Check the link below for flights.
