Physical Requirements & Viewing Conditions
Our Grizzly and Wildlife Safari combines river floats, land-based bear viewing, a coastal boat trip and a scenic helicopter flight. Guests should be comfortable walking on uneven ground, stepping into and out of rafts and boats, and getting in and out of a helicopter. Land-based outings may involve forest trails, roots, rocks and slippery surfaces, along with periods of standing quietly while watching wildlife.
Fall weather in Bella Coola can be cool and wet, particularly during early-morning river floats. Expect time outdoors in rain or changing temperatures, and bring waterproof outerwear, warm layers and sturdy footwear with good traction.
